Authors Scott McLeod and Dean Shareski emphasize the need for K-12 students in the United States to receive an education that prepares them to compete in a globalized workforce.  Schools must make pervasive changes and reject traditional, irrelevant methods that do not aligh with the 21st century’s demands.  McLeod and Shareski identify six key arguments for making these changes:  1) information literacy, 2) the economy, 3) learning, 4) boredom, 5) innovation, and 6) equity.
