Literacy Resource Coordination

The Early Learning Action Network, in collaboration with the Flagstaff Unified School District (FUSD), is conducting a survey of families registering their child for kindergarten for the 2019-20 school year.

The survey is designed to gather information from families with young children and their familiarity with and utilization of local literacy resources like the Flagstaff Public Library, Reach Out and Read, and the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

Data from the survey, which will be administered by FUSD during the week of February 4th, will be used along with other analysis of local literacy programs to help form the foundation for future strategic coordination among local literacy programs.

Coordination will be in collaboration with FUSD based on the K-3 literacy plans for the district’s elementary schools.

Early Learning Network team members will meet in mid-February to review the survey data and begin discussion of next steps that will lead to improved community coordination.
