The Flagstaff Chapter of the Experimental Aviation Association (EAA) is seeking candidates to send to the Advanced Air Academy in July 2020. The Academy, held each summer in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, consists of a week of exposure to aeronautical sciences, flight training, aircraft construction, maintenance and restoration among many aviation topics.

LAUNCH Flagstaff is pleased to partner with the Arizona Center for Afterschool Excellence (AzCASE), Northern Arizona University, SUN Entertainment, Coconino County, and Unisource Energy Services to bring the international organization Up with People to Flagstaff this spring.
The Up With People cast will visit Flagstaff from March 2-9, 2020 as a cultural exchange visit while providing specific community service projects for Flagstaff. Their week-long visit will culminate with a performance of Up with People Live On Tour 2020 at the Prochnow Auditorium. During the fall semester this year, one class of Summit High School students took part in a financial literacy curriculum pilot program intended to teach students about personal finance.
The pilot class was developed through the collaborative efforts of the LAUNCH Flagstaff Financial Literacy Team.

Flagstaff, AZ. November 15, 2019
About forty students from Flagstaff, Coconino, and Summit High Schools attended a day-long career exploration day in the law-enforcement sector on November 12 and 14, 2019. The junior and senior class students had opportunities to tour the law enforcement facility which jointly houses the Coconino County Sheriff’s Department and the Flagstaff Police Department.
During the day, students had opportunities to tour the dispatch center, see demonstrations of emergency response vehicles and equipment, and also learn about the science of gathering crime-scene evidence. Read more “Law Enforcement Career Day” →
